Imagine sunny skies and 5 lycra class athletes on top of the range road
bikes – now dismiss that whole scenario as being nothing like it was on the
day!
John, Jan, Tony, Hazel and Ken braved/beat the weather on Mon 12th August
to ride from Alton up to The Golden Pot, across to Long Sutton, Well, Bentley,
Isington and Holybourne – where we had a lovely lunch at The White Hart.
Despite a couple of heavy downpours during the ride it was all very enjoyable –
a special mention should go to Tony & Hazel who did well to cycle back up
through Farringdon to Four Marks before the rain returned.
