Hygge - November 2020

Our topic this month was the Danish concept of "hygge".

Coincidentally (and thanks to Gaynor for telling me about it), Sandi Toksvig has a series of 5 programmes on radio 4 this month on this subject, starting on Wed 2nd  December at 6:30pm.  I can't vouch for the content but there might be some interesting bits in it.

Sandi Toksvig's Hygge programme

Steve - autumn colours indoors.  "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK!"

Ken

Sue - a log down, cosy anniversary!

Warning - some people (certainly one person!) might find this next image upsetting!!)

Don
 - feet up, a nice bottle of red and England beating Ireland in rugby Autumn international - I forgot about lockdown for a few hours!

Angela

John & Jan - it's wash and brush up time!

Kate - lazy lockdown mornings.
A warm dog, good book and a cup of tea - hygge until I have to get up!

Keith - t
he warm glow of Christmas lights behind my niece Cindy opening her birthday present (on her doorstep) from us on the 17th November 2020

Gill - my hand knitted throw!

Steve

Gaynor - Favourite Scandi. chair

................ and our task for December is to come up with a photograph that illustrates a line from a Christmas carol or seasonal song.  Have fun with that!

Bridges - Oct 2020

Here are the photos you have sent in this month for our "Bridges" theme:

Don - Selborne

Ken - Alresford

.................................... meanwhile, back in Wales:

Kate - into Wales

Kate - St David's cathedral

Kate - and back out of Wales, just in the nick of time!

Keith - snap!

Don - pre-pandemic & post-pandemic!

John - the ultimate bridge!

Gill - a couple of  Mini-bridges at Legoland

Gaynor - Bridges across the Liffey

Sue - The Bridge that not many can cross

................................ and, as we move back into lockdown,
our topic for November is the Danish concept of "Hygge".
