KIT - Mon 26th September 2022

The participants in today's KIT were:

Don, Keith AO, Arthur, Ken + Rosie, Gill, Emma and Anne.

As usual we had a great time with lots of very close games.  The final ended up as:

Rosie & Ken v Gill & Arthur

With time against us and Rosie having an appointment she had to make in Alton, we decided to forgo the usual format of a 1 set match and just have a championship tie break.

This was going well until we reached 9-8, when Rosie actually had to leave!  So, Anne stepped in to replace her to finish off the tie break.  As it turned out Ken and her won the match with the very next point, with Anne not even getting to hit a ball in the final!

So, we pretty much made up our own rules for the final today!

The winners in the end, were Rosie and Ken, who won the tie break by 10-8.

The next time (KIT number 49!) we hope to get back to the more usual 1 set final.

Tools - August 2022

Here are your photos on the topic of "Tools":

Sue - these are just the pair of tools for our IOW farmer!
(except if you want to get through!)

Story-time for you all!

One screwdriver not carried

One chain entangled in pedal in the middle of the chain guard

One interrupted cycle ride with Jan

One deserted country lane

One call out to John at the allotment for help and a lift home

One lesson learnt by Ken!

Steve - heavy concrete breaker helps move my pond project ahead
(aka the Forth Bridge)

Don - ‘4 candles’ ... ‘andles for forks’

(courtesy of the classic 2 Ronnies sketch)

Kate - allotment shed tools.

Most used this year - watering can!!

Keith - I am not sure a toddler swim ring is a tool, but my great niece Violet, is rather cute!

Rosie

Gaynor - tools creativity and paint equals art

Gaynor - tools of learning

John - I haven’t got any tools so I thought I would send you an anagram!!!!

....... meanwhile these are from Jan, obviously out shopping for some tools for John!

And, back in Steve's garden, this is how the sleepers arrived
...… avoiding our overhead power cables!

Don't forget to ask Steve to give you a hand moving them round to the back Angela!

It is getting harder to keep coming up with topics we haven't already covered!

"Tools" was our 45th topic so perhaps we should call it a day when we reach 48 in November?  Let me know what you think.

But for now, our September topic is:

"Wheels"
