Today we played a KIT in honour of Tim.
The 8 of us who played this morning (Don, John, Keith, Ken, Sue, Gill, Rosie & Angela) have often played tennis with Tim - in Vets' matches, mixed 4s + in other KIT competitions (which he had won on 3 occasions).
Somehow the rain stopped just as we started playing so that we managed to fit in the whole three hours of competition before the rain started again - just as we finished!
As usual there were some very close matches in the rounds and the final ended up as:
Sue & Don v Rosie & Ken
A lot of the games in the final went to deuce but Rosie and Ken eventually managed to win 6-2.
