Corners - April 2025

We had 2 months for our topic of "corners" - and hopefully you will all feel that it was worth the wait!  Here is what you sent me, in the order which they arrived with me, starting with one from me, taken on a visit to Lord Wandsworth College as part of the National Garden Scheme:

Ken - an artistic corner at the Printworks Festival held at Farnham Maltings

Ken -  the roof terrace at my son's apartment block in Sheffield

Ken - a wisteria filled corner in Chawton House gardens

Meanwhile Don was off on his travels again!

Don  - the Vedette Guard Tower situated on the corner of Gardjola Gardens 

overlooking the Grand harbour in Malta.

Don - a very rare Edward V11 postbox (very few produced with his royal cypher) situated on the corner of a street in Birgu (Malta).

.... Gill had also headed south - she went to Italy:

Gill - a street corner in Cisternino

Then in May we visited Porchester Castle and Stonehenge

(the corners in both are a bit blurry as they didn’t have computer modelling then!)

WIT - May 2025

This afternoon's WIT was great fun as usual - it was played in lovely weather

 with lovely people!  The line up today was:

Kish, Ken, John B and Greg + Tess, Carey, Caryl and Emma

The final ended up as Caryl & John v Tess & Kish

It made for a splendid watch, with lots of very long rallies.

 Caryl & John just came out on top with a narrow 6-4 victory!

KIT - May 2025

Today's KIT was played out between:

Arthur, Ken, Kish & John H + Ailsa, Emma, Gill & Carey

After the scores were added up at the end of the round robin matches, the 4 finalists would have been: Arthur, Ken, Carey and Gill.  

However, Arthur had to leave early so the one set final then ended up as:

Carey & Ken v Gill & Kish

...... and after a very closely contested final, Gill & Kish won 6-4

The winners - Gill & Kish!
