Walls - October 2021

Here are all your submissions on the topic of "walls", starting with a series of 4 photos from Steve as he sunk lower and lower into Summerton Deep lock on the Oxford canal, at the beginning of this month.

It was a 12’ drop! The gate wouldn’t open fully and they nearly had to call Waterways to help as they thought they might not be able to escape!

Still in Oxford, here are a couple from Ken of a wall in Old Headington

Don - Chichester

Gill - a sunny Cob in Lyme Regis

John

...... and, not to be outdone, another ice-cream one from Jan!

Jan - a non ice-cream one taken at Beaulieu Abbey

Sue, with 2 different walls on the Isle of Wight:

Kate - Barlings Abbey.
We arrived at our rental house in the dark and woke up the next morning to find this in the field behind us. What a wall!

Rosie - on a walk through Four Marks

Keith - newly painted lounge.  The colour is "Mizzle" - very restful!

Here are 2 photos from Gaynor of The Great South Wall, Dublin.
(18th century engineering genius, original length 3.5 miles)

Gaynor - urban fox on a wall

As you all seem very keen to keep going with the photographs and, as the clocks have just changed this weekend, I have decided that our next topic should be "Time".
Make of that what you will!
